Rockskills Courses -
Our series of 'Rockskills' Courses are two day courses designed to see you through each stage of your early climbing career. From your first steps on the rocks of the south east learning the basics on Rockskills 1, progress to the skills of setting up your own climbs on a different type of rock in the Peak District on Rockskills 2 - then finally learn the basics of lead climbing, again in the Peak District, in Rockskills 3.
Rockskills 1 - Based at Harrisons Rocks in Sussex, we will take you through the basics of climbing outdoors right from the start. This course is suitable for complete beginners - you need no equipment and no knowledge of climbing. Just be willing to learn and give it a go! This is a course for those who want to acquire skills and learn how to go climbing on their own.

Rockskills 2 - We progress to the Peak District and have a look a different rock types. Setting up climbs is different here, as is the atmosphere. You are in the world of real climbing, and can learn the use of nuts and camming devices to work out how to safely set up your own climbs.

Rockskills 3 - On this course we undertake the challenge of lead climbing - the true aim of any climber. It's a big subject, and we will teach you a simple and straightforward system which will see you through your first climbing adventures.

Tuition
All Rockskills 2 and 3 courses are taught by holders of the MIA or MIC - members of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors. Rockskills 1 will be a holder of the SPA, or the MIA/MIC.
